Tanzania is undoubtedly one of Africa’s ultimate safari destinations. Sometimes it can be hard to know where to start, as there are so many ‘must-visit’ sites!
We spent around four weeks exploring Tanzania in June, and our good friend Matt, joined us for two weeks whilst we visited Tanzania’s North-East. Primarily, this included: the North Coast, Usambara Mountains, Arusha, the Kilimanjaro foothills, Tarangire and the Central Rift Valley.
As well as good company, Matt happens to be very talented with the Go-Pro. This short film was too good not to share, and sums it up better than I can describe with words. Enjoy!
Some of the places visited in this film:
- Irente Farm Lodge and Biosphere Reserve – I whole heartedly recommend the farm lunch. Possibly the best cheese you’ll find in Africa!
- Amani Forest Reserve – Remember to pack your waterproofs, you’ll probably need them here!
- Peponi Beach, Tanga – Book onto the very reasonably priced dhow boat and snorkelling trip. Fantastic!
- Kiliman Cultural Tours – Definitely one of my highlights of Tanzania. A community based project offering farmers complimentary income.
